Impartiality
Certification must be, and be seen to be, free from conflicts of interest. TOV America identifies threats to impartiality on an ongoing basis and acts to remove or minimise them.
Governance
The Fairness Committee
Our fairness committee helps us meet our responsibilities for monitoring impartiality and accreditation requirements. It assists the TOV America Board of Directors in protecting the integrity of our audit and certification activities.
Independent oversight is built into how decisions are made, not added afterwards.

Reviews compliance with legal, regulatory and accreditation requirements
Supports the TOV America Board of Directors in protecting the integrity of the company
Reviews relevant procedures, activities and customer complaints
May request an internal investigation where a risk to impartiality is suspected
