ISO 14001:2015 – Environmental Management System
With the alarm of global warming and its consequences, human society has become serious about ecology and its preservation. The ISO 14001:2015 EMS helps to maintain the environment around us by following certain management standards. Companies adopting ISO 14001:2015 EMS are well placed against their competitors and are duly recognized at the global level.
Environmental regulations are getting stricter, and so is law enforcement. Customers and shareholders increasingly demand that businesses diminish the environmental impact of their operations, demonstrate what they do, and show how they improve. An Environmental Management System helps your organization to be in control of and successfully manage its most significant environmental aspects, such as emissions, waste handling, use of natural resources and energy efficiency.
An ISO 14001 implementation and certification proves that your Environmental Management System has been measured against a best-practice standard and found compliant.

Your organization identifies its significant aspects, for example emissions, waste handling, use of natural resources and energy efficiency, and sets controls and objectives for them.
How long is the certificate valid?+
A management-system certificate is valid for three years, with annual surveillance audits to keep it active and a recertification audit before it expires.
How long does certification take?+
It depends on size and readiness. Once your system is implemented, the Stage 1 and Stage 2 audits and the certification decision typically take a few weeks.
